The Build:
Construction Overview – Aluminum Patio Cover in Issaquah, WA
This custom aluminum patio cover build near Tiger Mountain was designed with the Pacific Northwest climate in mind. Featuring a reverse skillion roof with a ¼" x 12" pitch, the system offers excellent water runoff while maintaining a modern, streamlined look. The roof-mounted design allowed us to avoid cutting into the existing roofline, resulting in a cleaner, faster installation.
Key features include:
- Insulated aluminum panels for thermal comfort
- 2"x6" structural posts wrapped in rich Sienna wood lattice
- 3x8 beam wrap for added style and structure
- Extended eaves (6"–9") and a 1' front overhang for improved weather coverage
- 6 integrated recessed lights for after-dark use
This structure was fully permitted and engineered to withstand Issaquah's seasonal shifts, offering a year-round extension of the home.
The Result:
Completed Outdoor Living Space – Functional, Stylish, and Weather-Ready
The finished product is more than just a patio cover—it’s a fully realized outdoor living environment. The space now includes electrical work completed by Rock Electric, powering six recessed LED lights seamlessly embedded into the insulated ceiling.
To improve functionality, we rebuilt and reconfigured the deck stairs, enhancing both access and flow. The entire frame is wrapped in decorative lattice beams, delivering an elevated, finished look that blends beautifully with the natural landscape.
This project was built for all seasons. Whether entertaining guests or enjoying quiet moments outdoors, the homeowners can now make full use of their deck—no matter the weather.
